Viagra, the famous little blue pill has been around for almost 20 years now. Viagra produced by Pfizer is the brandname for Sildenafil – the chemical name for the active compound which treatserectile dysfunctionor impotence. The only obvious difference betweenSildenafil andother than the packaging is the shape and colour of the tablet. Viagra tablets are a distinctive blue diamond shape whereas sildenafil is usually available as nondescript white round tablets. This difference is purely cosmetic and makes no difference to the effectiveness of sildenafil which is chemically and medically identical to Viagra.
Effectiveness
Viagra is proven to be effective in over 80% of men with erectile dysfunction who have tried it. The manufacturers who produce sildenafil have to put their generics through rigorous testing by European and British medical agencies to demonstrate that their sildenafil is bio-equivalent to Viagra ie it has the same potency and effectiveness as Viagra for those who take it. Only when this has been demonstrated can the manufacturers obtain market approval for their generic sildenafil.
Price
Now that more than one company is able to produce sildenafil there is a constant competitive pressure to reduce the price of sildenafil. While Pfizer continue to charge a premium for the branded Viagra, sildenafil is now available as a substantial discount in comparison.
Conclusion
and Viagra are just as effective as each other. Appearances aside the only real differences are the brand recognition factor of Viagra, and the substantially reduced price of sildenafil in comparison to Viagra.

A new trial of sildenafil, the first drug to treat female sexual dysfunction, has shown the potential for the use of Viagra, which has also been used for more than a century, in some cases, and a new study suggests it could also be a treatment for women.
The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, was funded by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The drug was approved in 1998.
The FDA has approved it for women who are having difficulty getting or maintaining an erection, and the drugs’ side-effects are often described as female libido problems, according to the drug’s label.
A study of more than 1,000 women over a 30-year period showed a 25% increase in the number of female sexual partners in the study, which is called female sexual dysfunction.
The researchers looked at the effects of sildenafil, a drug used to treat female sexual dysfunction, on a group of women who were trying for sex, in a group of 10 who were not having sex.
The study, which followed women who had been diagnosed with a low level of sexual desire and were randomly assigned to a group of 25 or 50 mg, and were also asked to do a 10-minute video questionnaire about their desire for sex. The women were given a placebo.
The study found that the women who were given Viagra had fewer sex partners than the women who were not having sex. In addition, Viagra’s effect on libido was only seen when the women were also asked to do the same thing they would have normally done without having sex.
The researchers found that only one in five women said they had problems with sex, and only about 2% of the women said they had problems with sex.
Viagra has long been a popular treatment for erectile dysfunction, and its side-effects were usually caused by an underlying condition. It can cause a range of symptoms, including headaches, dizziness, flushing, and blurred vision. More than 25 million men suffer from this condition.
The researchers did not find any significant differences between the men and women in terms of any side-effects between the groups.
Viagra has long been associated with an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes, and the drug has been linked to a link to depression. It can also have a link to a high risk of breast cancer, and the FDA has warned that women with breast cancer should not take Viagra.
The drug’s side-effects have been described as sexual side effects, including headaches, dizziness, muscle weakness, and nasal congestion. These side-effects are believed to be caused by the drug and may be exacerbated by other drugs. The FDA has also warned that women who are taking the drug may be at risk of developing certain health conditions, including cardiovascular problems.

“There are a number of things that could cause women to take the drug and their health problems,” said Dr. Nancy Neuha, a urologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, who was not involved in the study.
“We are very concerned about the way that some women are being treated for this, and we hope that this new trial results in women being able to use Viagra and having sex.”
Dr. Michael R. Nierenbach, a urologist at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, also said that his team did not see any significant differences in side-effects between the groups.
